Z*Prism delivers the ability to extend enterprise systems to mobile devices easily. Z*PrismT provides the standards based execution environment that decouples front-end clients (wireless devices) from back-end systems and applications. It simplifies development of portable and scalable applications, offering seamless integration options with leading Enterprise Data sources. It is based on Java platform, fully supportive of J2EE and XML-based technologies and standards.

Z*PrismT wireless component incorporates Device Adapters, each having specific device detection logic and capabilities. Each Device Adapter constructs a device object in the Application server workspace, which represents the physical device issuing HTTP requests to the server. Each is capable of automatically recognizing device properties, and acting as a gateway used for content formations and authentication services. Once a device is detected, the device object is then available for the application. Using its own routing mechanism, the device's request is transferred to the specific module in the content engine for content rendering.

Z*Prism offers out of the box EAI(Enterprise Application Integration) adapters which allows companies to mobilize enterprise applications such as portals, customer relationship management (CRM), field service, logistics, data collection, inspection, help desk, and business intelligence. Literally any paper-based or desktop-based application or process can be extended to handheld devices, tablet computers or laptops with Z*Prism, resulting in faster and more accurate data collection, improved field productivity and better decision-making.

Z*PrismT also includes an advanced Scheduling server, facilitating, scheduling services for end users. Additional push content components support listeners and dispatchers handling the incoming/outgoing requests from various protocols of message. Z*PrismT uses WTLS (Wireless Transport Layer Suite), which is part of the WAP suite and a derivative of SSL (Secured Socket Layer), optimized for wireless networks. The WTLS toolkit enables us to secure applications and offerings that can then interoperate with networks, and devices, based on the WAP standard. Z*PrismT uses an industry leading SSL toolkit to secure critical communications, providing end-to-end security.

Z*Prism supports the most advanced and powerful industry-wide Web standards, including DHTML, HTML 4.01, and XHTML 1.0. Z*Prism's support for Open standards and its Application Programming Interface(ZAPI) together create a powerful, cross-platform environment that enables developers to build and deploy robust applications quickly.
